Say YES to joining me at in Ely, MN at Tofte Lake Center from June 26-July 2nd 2026 for a week of songwriting, community, and rest(oration). Give yourself the wild gift of time to dive into making and mischief, surrounded by gorgeous pines and aspens, on the pristine waters of the BWCA.
About TLC: Tofte Lake Center (TLC) is a non-profit organization that provides residencies for artists who crave dedicated time to work on their projects, for creatives who seek individual growth through guided workshops or retreats, for arts organizations that want to make time to re/focus on their goals or mission, for arts leaders to gather to exchange ideas with colleagues in their field.
TLC features 4 hand-crafted cabins, each with a lake view and deck, as well as magical shared use spaces nestled into the wilderness. Each cabin has a fully functional kitchen, and bedding and linens are provided.
What to expect: This retreat welcomes 6-7 songwriters for a week of unhurried creative time. In addition to the hours spent nurturing your creative work, there will be daily opportunities for gathering with your fellow retreaters. Led by…me, your (mostly) fearless facilitator, we will use this time to support one another in our writerly wanderings. To share, to laugh, to commiserate, to delight. I will also be available throughout the week for one-on-one sessions and wonderings.
